Maxxine Dupri’s Ex-Partner Reacts After Shocking WWE Betrayal

Maxxine Dupri committed a huge betrayal this week on WWE RAW.

Maxxine Dupri has been a part of The Alpha Academy for the past couple of years. She was a beloved member of the group whom Chad Gable and Otis took under their wings. During this time, Maxxine was still a bit green in the ring.

Even after Chad Gable left Alpha Academy, the group remained together on TV. Maxxine even went on to win the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. However, Maxxine underwent a change in attitude in recent weeks after she started hanging out with Austin Theory. Even after Otis warned her to stay away from Theory, Maxxine didn’t listen to him. This week on WWE RAW, Maxxine helped The Vision regain the World Tag Team Titles against The Street Profits. Following this, she got into The Vision’s car and left with the group, indicating that she had joined them and was no longer part of Alpha Academy.

Following RAW, Otis took to social media to share a photo of himself and Akira Tozawa staring at Maxxine Dupri as she drove off with The Vision. Otis’ post suggests that he is upset due to Maxxine’s actions. Check out his post here.

Maxxine Dupri explained her relationship with Austin Theory

During an interview with Complex Graps, Maxxine Dupri said that a lot of things happened in the past and she was constantly being overlooked by everyone except Austin Theory. Hence, she finally decided to choose herself.

“So much has changed, so much has happened in the past year, the past six months. I won my first title. I lost my first title. I lost a lot of opportunities. I wasn’t being given opportunities. I was continuing to be overlooked, but not by Austin, of course.

I think I just came to a point where at some point, you have to choose yourself, and I chose me, and I did what needed to be done.”

Regarding her split from Alpha Academy, Maxxine said that she has chosen them for years and now, she is choosing herself.

“It just got to a point where I had to choose me. I’ve been choosing them for years, and that hasn’t gotten me anywhere.”

She also questioned Otis and Akira Tozawa’s whereabouts when she was having a difficult time with Becky Lynch.

“Let’s not forget, all those times when Becky was getting disqualified and purposely doing things so that I couldn’t win the title, where were they? Were they ever ringside for me?

It’s not personal, it’s just about me choosing me, but no one has been choosing me. Literally no one, and Austin has chosen me, so I’m choosing him, and I’m choosing Maxxine.” [H/T Ringside News]
