Multiple Potential Suspensions Looming Over CM Punk Backstage Altercation

CM Punk may not be the only one facing disciplinary actions following the infamous post-All Out brawl.

Rewind to this past Sunday’s AEW All Out pay-per-view, newly crowned AEW World Champion, CM Punk addressed the media following his title win. However, Punk wasted no time in peppering his co-workers with Muhammad Ali-esque jabs. Punk set his sights on former friend and Ring Of Honor colleague, Colt Cabana. Punk would then direct his attention to the likes of the company’s EVP’s, Kenny Omega, and Matt and Nick Jackson of The Young Bucks. Punk would also call out former AEW World Champion, ‘Hangman’, Adam Page, who according to Punk, started the spat.

In an update provided by the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer, the clam has been made to have a pair of former AEW World Champions, Jon Moxley and Chris Jericho appear on the 9/7 episode of AEW Dynamite, even though, per the report, neither were originally slated to make an appearance on tomorrow night’s show.

Meltzer also notes that Moxley and Jericho’s reported appearances could be due to the fact that there are a number of suspensions about to be handed down by AEW President, Tony Khan, whether that be Punk, Omega, The Bucks, Page, Ace Steel, or all of the above.

Punk, Omega, The Bucks, Page, and Steel have all had their actions speak louder than any amount of words, however for some anonymous comments from how some members of the AEW locker room feel about the situation, you can click here.

TJR will provide any updates to the ongoing situation between CM Punk, Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks as they become available.
