AEW Roster’s Reaction To CM Punk Fight

CM Punk

Following his outburst at the AEW All Out Press Conference, a new report has claimed CM Punk has been able to find little support from his colleagues.

After losing the AEW World Championship Unification match to Jon Moxley just a couple of weeks before, CM Punk went on to pick up the title when he got the opportunity for a rematch at All Out. Whilst this was a surprise to many given the short order in which he lost the first match, it was his comments in the post-show media scrum which sent more shockwaves.

Not content with making scathing remarks towards the likes of Colt Cabana, Adam Page and The Elite, CM Punk reportedly then got involved in a backstage brawl alongside Ace Steel after being confronted by Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks over his comments.

It is alleged that Punk was the one to instigate the physicality, whilst Ace Steel threw a chair at The Young Bucks and also bit Kenny Omega.

A new report from Fightful Select is claiming that CM Punk has little support over his actions from his colleagues, with the agreement almost unanimous that he was in the wrong. Sources who would normally take the side of Punk seemingly either refused to comment or agreed that he was in the wrong on this occasion.

Although the report is currently unconfirmed, there is also speculation that the AEW World Champion was injured during the brawl.

It is also claimed that “several” long-time AEW stars believe there is no way CM Punk can remain with the company following the incident.
