Ahead of their tag team match at AEW Dynasty, a wrestling legend has brushed off a potential rivalry with Chris Jericho.

On Sunday (April 12), Adam Copeland will team up with Christian Cage to face FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) for the World Tag Team Championship.

The duo last competed at the All Out pay-per-view in September 2025, where they won against FTR.

The bout also witnessed interferences from Stokely and a surprise appearance from Beth Copeland, who is a WWE Hall of Famer.

After the match, Cope and Cage were ambushed by Kip Sabian and Nick Wayne. They handcuffed Adam to the ring ropes before taking out Christian with the help of Wheeler and Harwood.

Beth, meanwhile, tried to attack them but fell victim as FTR hit her with a spike piledriver.

Following their latest return, the AEW superstars announced their intention to take away the tag titles from FTR, thus pushing back The Young Bucks, who considered themselves as contenders, too.

On the April 8 episode of Dynamite, FTR again got the best of their rivals with the help of Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta of the Don Callis Family.

Adam Copeland Rules Out AEW Rivalry With Chris Jericho

Adam Copeland and Chris Jericho are two of the top names in AEW.

Jericho returned a couple of weeks ago following a nearly year-long hiatus from the company. He was recently confronted by The Demand’s Ricochet, who warned him against signing a new contract.

Jericho, in turn, challenged him to a match at Dynasty, which was made official for Sunday.

During a recent interview with TVInsider, Copeland was asked about a potential rivalry with his compatriot, now that he had returned to regular television.

In response, the 52-year-old brushed off the possibility of a feud with Jericho, stating they were both babyfaces and it was better if they gave others the opportunity, while also highlighting his ongoing rivalry with FTR.

We kind of fill a little bit of the same lanes. So, I feel at this point putting us together you kind of lose what guys like us bring to the table. I think if we start working with new faces, that’s better. FTR is a new face to me. I’ve only wrestled them once. There is so much opportunity.

It’s the same with Chris. He still hasn’t wrestled everyone here. There is new talent coming in all the time. Then I look at Christian and I, I look at FTR and the Young Bucks, and then you start going down the line of tag team names. We’re going to be busy for a while.
