First-ever AEW World Champion, Chris Jericho, made a surprising return to the All Elite promotion last week on Dynamite, months after being rumored for a return to WWE.

He was set for a major segment on tonight’s show where he addressed the crowd in his home country of Canada, and signed his new AEW contract just 100 km away from the place he made his wrestling debut.

However, right before Jericho signed the contract, he was interrupted by Ricochet and GOA, The Demand, who threatened him and tried to get Jericho to back down from signing the contract.

Chris Jericho to make in-ring return at AEW Dynasty

Jericho looked straight into Ricochet’s eyes and signed his AEW contract while staring down the former National Champion. He also told Ricochet that he had the opportunity to choose anyone as his Dynasty opponent.

The Learning Tree wasted no time in making it clear that he will be challenging the former 3-time WWE Champion at this Sunday’s Dynasty pay-per-view. Jericho dropped a huge reference to his former employers during the segment.

While confirming that the One and Only will be his target moving forward, as he told Ricochet, he just made the list. The List was something that Jericho made famous during his last run in the Stamford-based promotion, so the reference on Dynamite sent the fans into a frenzy.
