Tony Khan Shares Major Update On Chris Jericho’s New AEW Deal

Tony Khan has revealed details on Chris Jericho’s new AEW deal.

A lot of information has now come out regarding WWE legend Chris Jericho’s future.

Speculation has been rampant for months that Chris Jericho could be joining WWE, especially after his AEW contract expired in December 2025, and the star has not been seen on AEW TV since April of last year.

Fans, analysts, and former wrestlers waited with bated breath during every PLE and occasion in WWE to see if Chris Jericho would make a shock return. However, the moment never came.

In fact, Jericho surprised the wrestling world by showing up on AEW: Dynamite on April 1st, and it was no April Fool’s joke.

Jericho is now firmly under contract with AEW, and Tony Khan has confirmed this as well as shared details on the new deal on his media call ahead of AEW’s Dynasty pay-per-view that takes place on Sunday, April 12th.

Tony Khan Says AEW Has Signed A Multi-Year Deal With Chris Jericho

Khan was all smiles as Jericho has now chosen where he wants to be, despite WWE’s best efforts to get him back on board with them.

Jericho was reportedly in talks with WWE about joining them, but Khan has now said that this multi-year deal that he has signed with AEW means that Jericho will be with the Jacksonville-based promotion for a long time.

Khan mentioned in the media call that he always wanted Jericho in AEW, and alluded to the fact that Jericho wants to be there too, as he was in Winnipeg on April 1st for Dynamite.

Khan reveals that Jericho has been following and wanting to be a part of AEW programming and went on to say that the former WWE star looks fantastic and that he is excited to see Jericho at his very best in his promotion against worthy opponents.
