WWE News: Cesaro Has Been Moved to Raw One Week After the Superstar Shake-up, Samoa Joe Update

TJR Wrestling

There are more changes among WWE superstars one week after the Superstar Shake-up because Cesaro is heading to Raw alone without his tag team partner Sheamus. That means the duo known as The Bar is no more.

The Cesaro move was first mentioned by John Pollock of Post Wrestling and it was also confirmed by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer. Cesaro is expected to be on Raw tonight, according to Pollock.

It’s not known exactly why Cesaro is moving to Raw, but it was likely done as a move to balance the rosters a bit since we learned earlier today that Andrade, Zelina Vega and Aleister Black were going to be a part of Smackdown.

The United States Champion Samoa Joe is expected to be on Raw tonight as well. As we reported last week, the plan was for Joe to be on Raw last Monday, but he was sick, so WWE kept him off TV until this week.

None of these moves have been made official by WWE yet. They might address it on Raw, but they are also bad at explaining things as well.

TJR Thoughts: I will miss the Cesaro/Sheamus tag team. They worked well together and really embraced the idea of being a team for the last three years. They always had good matches too. With that said, I am fine with Cesaro and Sheamus as veteran singles guys. If Cesaro got a push as a face or a heel, I think he’d do very well.

Cesaro is very close friends with Seth Rollins and they train together, so I’m sure being on the same show will make Seth happy too.

It probably won’t happen right away, but Cesaro vs. Styles would be an amazing feud. I just see them working really well together in terms of their ability in the ring. AJ will probably be against Drew, Baron or Bobby in his first Raw feud, if I had to guess.
