WWE’s TV Partners Want Company To Sign MJF

MJF

Both Fox and the USA Network are reportedly in favour of WWE signing AEW star MJF when his contract expires.

MJF has established himself as one of All Elite Wrestling’s biggest stars, having joined the promotion from the outset and generating enormous ripples in the pro wrestling world ever since. For the third year running, the precocious talent has won the Dynamite Diamond ring and is embroiled in an increasingly personal feud with former WWE Champion CM Punk.

Now Andrew Zarian of Mat Men Radio has reported that WWE’s television partners FOX and the USA Network are very keen on turning one of the pillars of AEW into a WWE Superstar.

Zarian noted that he had been told by a source at one of the networks was impressed by a recent promo battle between MJF and former WWE Champion CM Punk.

“I actually stopped what I was doing and listened to him. I don’t think I have done that with pro wrestling in a long time.”

Furthermore, a source within WWE talked up the star, saying that he’s exactly what the company are looking for.

“He has everything we would want. It really depends on if he could be that same person on WWE TV. We want new stars to be the focus within the next few years. That’s the plan.”

In response, MJF simply wrote: “The Bidding War of 2024.”

MJF has repeatedly hinted that he could head to the “other place” when his contract expires in two years. However, back in November a report seemed to suggest that even if WWE attempted to sign the star he would remain with AEW. Although, the report did acknowledge that a bidding war for his services was certainly possible.
