Shocking WWE Wild Card Predicted As John Cena’s Final Opponent
John Cena has four appearances remaining in his WWE retirement tour.
He will be next seen on November 10 during the RAW taping from his hometown of Boston, Massachusetts.
Over the last few weeks, the internet has been swarmed with wrestling fans speculating about Cena’s final opponent.
Names such as Dominik Mysterio, Edge, Brock Lesnar, and Gunther have surfaced frequently, with Gunther leading the charge at present.
Gunther had also retired Goldberg at Saturday Night’s Main Event XL in July this year.
Now, a new wrestler has emerged as the wild card, after being thrown into the mix by a future WWE Hall of Famer.
Natalya appeared on a recent Busted Open Podcast, where she discussed the possibility of John Cena wrestling The Miz in his final match in the Stamford promotion.
I’m going with a wild card. I would like to see The Miz. They had such great matches. Their chemistry was so good and in a lot of ways, you know, Miz is one of those hidden…I don’t even know if he’s a hidden treasure, but he’s the guy that if you wanna get something off the ground, in my opinion, you turn to Miz. He’s so reliable…I think Miz isn’t talked about enough. But I would love to see Miz be one of John’s final matches. If he’s not his final match, I’d love to see him be in the running for one of his final matches. [13:07 onwards]
The Miz Taken Out On WWE SmackDown By Former Tag Team Partner
On the latest SmackDown, Sami Zayn hosted his usual United States Championship open challenge, which was answered by The Miz.
However, even before the ex-champion could make his way to the ring, he was attacked by his former tag team partner, Carmelo Hayes.
Hayes and Miz fell out after failing to win the #1 Contender’s Match to challenge for The Wyatt Sicks’ tag team titles.
After The Miz got taken out, Zayn’s challenge was accepted by Ilja Dragunov, who was returning to WWE after a year-long absence due to an injury.
Dragunov won the match, dethroning Sami Zayn as the United States Champion in the process.
