John Cena Teases One More Match With Former Rival

John Cena WWE Last Time

John Cena is having fun on social media.

It was recently reported that Gunther will be the man to retire John Cena. The veteran is set to wrestle for the final time at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 in Washington, D.C.

It’s long been rumoured that Gunther will be Cena’s last opponent, but now the first-time ever match appears closer than ever.

A further report suggested that WWE could create a tournament to decide Cena’s last rival, which Gunther would ultimately win.

While Gunther has been absent since losing the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam, Cena has been keeping busy, working his way through his wrestling bucket list. After losing to Brock Lesnar at Wrestlepalooza, he’ll now face AJ Styles at Crown Jewel.

Cena is also advertised to appear at Survivor Series on November 29, but there’s no word on who he’ll be wrestling. But the 17-time World Champion has decided to get fans talking early.

In his latest post on Instagram, Cena shared a photo of The Miz without a caption.

The Miz Wants John Cena Match

The cryptic post comes after The Miz said he was “very angry” to miss out on facing John Cena after his match with AJ Styles was announced. He explained that while he was happy for Styles on a personal level, he was less than impressed at being overlooked.

The former World Champion pointed out he’s been calling for a match with Cena ever since he announced his retirement. Yet somehow he’s managed to find himself out in the cold.

Miz famously beat Cena in the main event of WrestleMania 27.
