Current WWE Champion Ready To Put Final Nail In John Cena’s Coffin
There’s no shortage of stars lining up to retire John Cena.
On December 13, John Cena will step into the ring for the final time. At a special Saturday Night’s Main Event show in Washington, D.C., Cena will say goodbye to the industry that made him one of the biggest stars on the planet.
Cena’s retirement has been the dominant story — for better or for worse — in WWE in 2025, and speculation is only going to increase as the big night nears. This includes deciding who will be the legend’s final oppoents.
In a new interview with Graps & Yaps, WWE’s Intercontinental, and AAA’s Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio laid down his own challenge to Cena.
“I mean, at the end of the day, I’m here. If John Cena wants some, he can come get some. He’s got four dates left, you said. I mean, if that old geezer wants me to put a final nail in his coffin, I’ll be more than happy to. You know, that’s what I’m here for. I’m here to be and stay your dirty double champ.”
Who Will Retire John Cena?
As his last match nears, it’s been reported that Gunther could be the man to retire John Cena. According to the report, a tournament could be set up to decide the veteran’s last opponent, a tournament that would be won by Gunther.
The former World Heavyweight Champion has been out of action since losing the title at SummerSlam.
Although he might not land the retirement match, there have been claims that Dominik Mysterio will face John Cena at Survivor Series in his penultimate match. This would see Mysterio put his Intercontinental Championship on the line — a title that Cena has famously never won.
