Randy Orton and Matt Riddle have unfinished story and the latter wants to finish it.
Back in 2021 when Riddle was still working with WWE, he formed a tag team with Randy Orton after pitching the idea to The Viper on WWE TV. It was named RK-Bro.
The duo defeated AJ Styles and Omos at SummerSlam to become the new WWE RAW Tag Team Champions. Their first championship run ended on WWE RAW when they lost it to Otis and Chad Gable. The secured a second run by defeating The Alpha Academy and the tag team of Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins in a triple threat tag team match.
They lose the titles to then-SmackDown tag team champions The Usos who challenged them to unify the titles. RK-Bro lost the titles to The Usos on SmackDown.
Matt Riddle wants to return to WWE to finish his story with Randy Orton
When Randy Orton was sidelined due to his back injury in 2022, Matt Riddle continued working in WWE. He teamed with Shinsuke Nakamura against The Bloodline, and even worked a singles run.
Riddle was eventually released in September 2023.
While speaking to Inside The Ring, The Original Bro revealed that if not for anything, he does want to return to WWE to finish his story with Randy Orton. The idea was that at some point RK-Bro would break up, and a match would be set up between Riddle and Orton.
Well, if it’s up to me, yes. I want to finish my story with Randy. And I know Randy really wants to finish it with me as well. And I know the fans, if I could say anything, the amount of fans that would be happy if we did, even if it was a couple month run, they would be ecstatic and feel complete.
In the same interview, Matt Riddle revealed that it was Randy Orton who requested to work with Matt Riddle!
