WWE hosted an NXT Live event in Lakeland, Florida, over the weekend.

One of the matches on the card was an 8-man tag team match, comprising Birthright (Lexis King, Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo, Charlie Dempsey, and Uriah Connors) vs. Elio LeFleur, Eli Knight, Tavion Heights, and Kale Dixon.

The match witnessed multiple stoppages due to wrestlers sustaining injuries. LeFleur was one of the unfortunate ones when he came in contact with a turnbuckle.

An audience member at the venue tweeted that the WWE Speed Champion might have broken his arm.

Fightful later provided an update, stating that the French wrestler was in a sling, casting a doubt on his near-future appearances.

During Tuesday’s taping of NXT, the developmental brand ran an angle that saw LeFleur get attacked backstage by a mystery individual.

As a result, he and his tag partner, Eli Knight, were replaced against The Culling’s Shawn Spears and Niko Vance, with the Los Americanos taking their spot.

WWE Acknowledges Lexis King’s Injury On NXT

In the same match where Elio LeFleur sustained the injury, Birthright’s Lexis King took a hard knee shot to his face, forcing the referee to throw up the X sign.

The match was briefly paused as the medical personnel checked on the 32-year-old. While he was able to continue, he was nowhere to be seen on March 24’s episode of NXT.

Commentator Vic Joseph acknowledged King’s injury during the NXT North American Championship #1 Gauntlet Eliminator Match, in which Birthright’s Charlie Dempsey was a participant.

Johnny Gargano ultimately emerged as the winner, and will challenge Myles Borne for the NXT North American Championship at Stand & Deliver on April 4.
