Multiple WWE Stars Reportedly Sustain Injuries At Live Show
A WWE NXT live show in Lakeland, Florida, witnessed injuries to multiple talents.
Attendees at the event reported the referees throwing up the X sign not once but twice during an 8-man tag team match between Birthright and the quartet of Elio LeFleur, Eli Knight, Kale Dixon, and Tavion Heights.
The officials usually signal an X with their arms whenever a wrestler suffers a legitimate injury while wrestling. It allows the ringside medical professional to step in and assess the situation.
The first incident during the tag match involved Lexis King, who took a hard knee shot to his face. He was shortly cleared to compete, and the match moved ahead.
The second incident saw Elio LeFleur get involved in a much nastier situation, as his spot involved the turnbuckle. A fan claimed that the WWE Speed Champion may have broken his arm.
The bout ultimately ended in a no-contest, leaving the medical team to keep a close watch on LeFelur.
Action had to be stopped twice when the ref threw up the X signal for injuries last night at #nxtlakeland. Brian Pillman Jr took a knee of the face. Couldn’t tell if he was concussed but had a lot of swelling. Elio LeFleur might’ve broken his arm going into a turnbuckle. pic.twitter.com/zzI6kLdJ4j

Elio LeFleur Scheduled For High-Stakes Match On WWE NXT
On last week’s WWE NXT, Elio LeFleur was featured in a backstage segment with interim general manager Robert Stone, Eli Knight, and Sean Legacy, who was on crutches.
Legacy claimed that he would not be able to team up with Knight for next week’s NXT Tag Team Championship #1 Contender Tournament First Round match.
LeFleur then offered to step in and represent until Legacy was able to compete, to which Stone agreed.
The extent of LeFleur’s injury currently remains unknown.
