WWE has officially repackaged one of its newest talents, at least when it comes to their in-ring name.

In March, it was reported that the Stamford promotion had signed multiple independent wrestlers after conducting tryouts the previous month. One of them was Nikki Blackheart, who, at the time, served as the CCW Women’s Champion.

After dropping the title to Kristin Blaze, Blackheart reported to the Performance Center as the company’s latest signee.

Blackheart is well-known in the independent circuit for her sheer power and aggressive approach inside the squared circle. This was evidenced by her NXT debut last week.

On June 30, Kelani Jordan defeated Tatum Paxley in the main event, establishing herself as a strong contender to Kendal Grey’s NXT Women’s Championship.

After the match, as Paxley gathered herself, Blackheart entered the ring and hit her with a clothesline before applying a torture rack submission.

Vic Joseph on commentary called her “one of the most talked about women in the industry” as she was yet to receive her official NXT name.

Blackheart was featured in a vignette on July 7, where she revealed her on-screen name as Reina Volcán. According to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer, WWE had filed a trademark for the name on June 8.

After being christened with a new name, Volcán took to X to pay homage to Nikki Blackheart, while listing her accomplishments and life lessons.

WWE Hall Of Famer Shares Advice Towards Reina Volcán

As dominating as her NXT debut was last week, Reina Volcán made a meal of it.

When Volcán applied the Torture Rack on Tatum Paxley, she almost lost her balance, which could have led to an injury. Regardless, she managed to follow through without an incident, setting herself up as a dominant force on the developmental brand.

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T, who was on commentary, watched the attack unfold firsthand in its entirety. Like the legend that he is, Book did not overlook Volcan’s misstep and provided a handy advice.

Speaking on a recent episode of his Hall of Fame podcast, the 6-time World Champion had the following to say:

I love her aggression, man. You can see when she lays it in, you ain’t gotta think twice about it. You ain’t got to tell her to do it twice. You get whacked. I love it.

But, the one thing I gotta make sure I give Nikki Blackheart a little advice on, when she made her debut, when she came in and picked the girl up for the torture rack, she almost looked like she went down and she almost hurt her knee. One thing, you never really want to work a cold muscle. You make sure you warm that muscle up and think about what you gotta do when you go out there, opposed to just going out there and doing it. The newest WWE signee is bound to take Booker T’s advice going forward as she sets herself up for glory on the developmental brand.
