WWE Royal Rumble To Feature Champion From Another Promotion (SPOILER)
A spoiler has been provided about a champion from another wrestling company who is expected to appear in WWE’s Royal Rumble match.
It has been reported by PWInsider Elite that TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace will be competing in the Women’s Royal Rumble match as a surprise entrant.
Grace is a three-time TNA Knockouts Champion who recently won the title from Trinity at TNA Hard To Kill. Trinity is expected to return to WWE very soon, perhaps as soon as tonight’s Women’s Rumble match to resume her career as the popular Naomi.
The report from PWInsider notes that WWE sources revealed the company came to an agreement with TNA for Grace’s appearance. It was added that Grace will be billed as the Knockouts World Champion and she will have her TNA theme song with her as well as the video graphics the company uses when they feature her on television.
For Jordynne Grace, it will be her WWE debut match. Grace is under a long-term deal with TNA, so it’s not a case of her going to WWE any time soon. It is a move by WWE to create a moment during the Women’s Rumble match.
Jordynne Grace In Royal Rumble Is Similar To Mickie James In 2022
Putting Grace in the Royal Rumble as TNA Knockouts Champion is similar to the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble when Mickie James appeared as the TNA/Impact Knockouts Champion using her “Hardcore Country” theme song. In James’ case, WWE promoted it weeks before the match.
Another difference is that James is a WWE legend and future Hall of Famer who won six Women’s/Divas Championships in WWE while Grace will be competing in her first WWE match.
The WWE Royal Rumble takes place tonight on Saturday, January 27th in Tampa with this lineup.
