WWE Reportedly Planning To Break Up Major Faction Soon
WWE may soon disband a beloved faction.
The Wyatt Sicks are a prominent group on SmackDown and the current WWE Tag Team Champions.
After months of build-up, the faction debuted on the June 17 episode of RAW. They were immediately in business, attacking Chad Gable and the backstage crew.
Its members—Uncle Howdy (Bo Dallas), Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy, Eric Rowan, and Nikki Cross—made a huge impact in the coming weeks, catapulting themselves as a main-event threat.
Some of their recurring rivals were Authors of Pain, The Creed Brothers, The Final Testamend, and American Made.
The faction was drafted to SmackDown in January 2025.
However, due to an injury sustained by Uncle Howdy, they would start appearing full-time only in May. Since then, they have been a nuisance to other teams in the division.
On the July 11 episode of WWE SmackDown, Lumis and Gacy defeated The Street Profits to become the Tag Team Champions.
WWE Allegedly Done With The Wyatt Sicks
Despite their popularity among fans, The Wyatt Sicks have failed to win the favor of the WWE management.
Former head writer Vince Russo revealed on Sportskeeda’s Legion of RAW podcast that the Stamford promotion is desperate to end the faction.
I heard some inside information today. They are so down on The Wyatt Sicks, that they are going to disband them. That’s what I heard today, yes. [1:18:56 onwards]
On Night 2 of SummerSlam, The Wyatt Sicks defended the WWE Tag Team Championship against Andrade/Rey Fenix, #DIY, Fraxiom, Motor City Machine Guns, and The Street Profits.
The Sicks managed to defeat the other teams, retaining their belts.
