The Wyatt Sicks Retain WWE Tag Title In Mind-Blowing TLC SummerSlam Match

The Wyatt Sicks retained their WWE Tag Team Title against all odds at SummerSlam.

Last May, The Wyatt Sicks returned to target the tag team division, taking out Fraxiom, The Street Profits, DIY, and Motor City Machine Guns. That led to Uncle Howdy’s team winning an eight-man tag team match to become the number-one contenders for the WWE Tag Team Title.

On the July 11 episode of SmackDown, Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy defeated The Street Profits to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions.

While the team of Andrade and Rey Fenix later earned a shot at The Wyatt Sicks’ title, the match ended in disqualification after interference from Nikki Cross.

After the match, Uncle Howdy’s team, DIY, The Street Profits, Motor City Machine Guns, Fraxiom, and Andrade & Fenix brawled before SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis interfered to announce that all six teams will clash in a TLC match at SummerSlam for the WWE Tag Team Title.

The Wyatt Sicks Came Out On Top At WWE SummerSlam

Under the eyes of The Hardy Boyz and The Dudley Boyz, who sat in the front row, all six teams spared no effort to destroy each other, using chairs, tables, and ladders.

As all teams lay outside the ring following multiple table spots, Johnny Gargano instructed his wife, Candice LeRae, to climb the ladder and grab the title belts. She was initially stopped by B-Fab, but made another attempt after Cross got involved.

One of the craziest spots in the match saw Gargano hold the ladder for his wife when he was pushed accidentally, dropping her out of the ring through a ladder that got split in half. Officials and medical personnel rushed to her aid.

The TLC bout witnessed many other mind-blowing spots before Gacy finally succeeded in grabbing the belts to retain the title.
