WWE Officially Hands New Nickname To Oba Femi
WWE has made a big move involving Oba Femi.
The opening match of Night of Champions 2026 saw Femi battle Jey Uso in the final of the King of the Ring tournament. Both stars had a back-and-forth encounter. However, in the end, Oba Femi connected with the Fall From Grace to get the three-count for the victory.
Femi has now become the 25th King of the Ring. Not long after his crowning moment, the official WWE X handle bestowed Oba Femi with the “King” nickname.

Oba Femi breaks silence after WWE Night of Champions triumph
Following his win over Jey Uso, Oba Femi received the King of the Ring crown from SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis. He then cut a passionate promo in the ring.
It feels so good to go from a Ruler to being the King. Jey Uso did not understand what he was up against tonight. He thought he was just fighting one man. You might be able to beat one man, but you can’t beat fate. And you can’t beat destiny. And most importantly, you can’t beat me. Because I am The Ruler, The Destroyer, The Bringer of War, The Mountain That You Cannot Climb, The Mountain That You Cannot Conquer, The One of One, The Beast Slayer, The One, The Chosen One, The King of the Ring, Oba Femi!
It will be interesting to see which champion Oba Femi decides to go after for SummerSlam.
