Roman Reigns May Have Tasked Jacob Fatu With Major WWE Mission
Jacob Fatu may appear at WWE Night of Champions on Roman Reigns’ orders.
The Samoan Werewolf recently joined The Bloodline after losing to The OTC in a Tribal Combat. He has since served as Reigns’ messenger to Solo Sikoa, demanding that he fall back in line.
Speaking on the Busted Open podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray suggested Reigns may have tasked Fatu with another major mission heading into Night of Champions this Saturday.
The premium live event will feature the King of the Ring tournament final between The Bloodline’s Jey Uso and Oba Femi, and Bully Ray believes The OTC may have ordered The Samoan Werewolf to ensure his cousin emerges victorious.
I do believe, sir. I’ve been talking about Oba in the finals for a while now. We went off on other possibilities because you like to ask me, well, if that doesn’t happen, what could happen. Okay, Dave, then maybe this and then maybe that. But I think we’ve been talking about Oba in the finals and, you know, the potential of Oba winning the King of the Ring and then Brock maybe destroying him after the match or Brock costing Oba the match.
Hey, Jey can’t beat Oba straight up. I don’t think it’s the right time for Oba Femi to eat a loss straight up. Do I think we could get some shenanigans? Remember. Do I think we can get some shenanigans? Roman whispered something into Jacob Fatu’s ear last Monday night. And I’m wondering if he whispered to Jacob to despite the fact that Jey is being a bit of a douche nozzle, I want you to make sure that Jey wins.
So, in Jey vs. Oba, who knows? We could get Jacob Fatu involved. Maybe Brock comes along to do, you know, to do something. There’s lots of possibilities. This makes it very intriguing. [0:35 onwards]
WWE Analyst Wants Oba Femi To Relinquish Title Shot After Winning King Of The Ring
On a recent episode of Notsam Wrestling, WWE analyst Sam Roberts shared his predictions for all Night of Champions matches, including the King of the Ring tournament final.
The 42-year-old suggested that Oba Femi emerge victorious over Jey Uso before relinquishing his world title shot at WWE SummerSlam to accept a challenge from Brock Lesnar.
For me, if I’m going to the King of the Ring final match, Oba Femi (vs.) Jey Uso, I’ve got Oba Femi beating Jey Uso, and maybe he beats him clean. And maybe Jey Uso’s got a lot of work to do after that because two nights later on RAW, I’m having Brock Lesnar come out and confront Oba Femi, and Brock Lesnar telling Oba Femi, ‘You want me? You want one more with me? I ain’t running. I’m gonna be one place and one place only, Minneapolis, SummerSlam.’
And I don’t do Oba having two matches at SummerSlam. I don’t like that theory. It’s way too much Oba. It leaves nothing to do later. It makes it so that the whole weekend is the Oba show. And I think that, like, Oba is that guy. But also it revolves everything at that point around Oba Femi. It’s too much. It’s not time for that.
So, I think that Oba gives up his title match to fight Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam and he’ll get back to that title match. Don’t worry about that. Pacing, pacing, pacing. But I think Oba gives up the title match to face Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam, and he main events SummerSlam against Brock Lesnar.
