WWE News: Largest Tag Team Turmoil Match in History and Cesaro vs. Mansoor Added to WWE Crown Jewel

TJR Wrestling

There were two more matches added to WWE Crown Jewel from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Thursday, October 31 with an 8pm start time locally and a 1pmET start for those of us in North America.

It seems like every time does an event in Saudi Arabia, they want to try to do something that is the largest ever whether it was the 50-Man Royal Rumble or 51-Man Battle Royal at previous Saudi Arabian events. This time, it’s going to the largest Tag Team Turmoil match in WWE history.

The nine teams in the Tag Team Turmoil match will be: The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods), Raw Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode, SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder), The Viking Raiders (Erik and Ivar), Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins, Heavy Machinery (Tucker and Otis), Lucha House Party (Kalisto, Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado), The OC (AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson), and The B Team (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel).

The winners of the tournament win some ridiculous World Cup trophy. That led to Big E making this Shane McMahon reference to last year’s World Cup at Crown Jewel.

Please no Shane McMahon appearance leading to him somehow winning the World Cup trophy like last year. Bad memories. Oh right, Shane is fired. Sure.

Another match that has been added is Mansoor vs. Cesaro. You may recall back in June of this year at Super Showdown in Saudi Arabia that Mansoor won the 51-Man Battle Royal and one of the last men he eliminated to win the match was Cesaro. Elias was the last elimination and Cesaro was right before him.

Mansoor was signed to a NXT deal in 2018 after WWE had a tryout for wrestlers in Saudi Arabia. While he has not appeared as a regular on NXT shows yet, he is from Saudi Arabia, so including him on this show makes sense. Cesaro is the right choice as an opponent because Cesaro is capable of having good matches with anyone, no matter how experienced they are. I would expect Mansoor to win this match as well.

It has also been reported that WWE will charter a plane to fly back the wrestlers after Crown Jewel so that they can be back in time to appear on Smackdown on Friday, November 1 in Buffalo, New York. That applies only for the Smackdown wrestlers.

The updated lineup for WWE Crown Jewel on October 31 looks like this:

WWE Championship: Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Cain Velasquez

Braun Strowman vs. Tyson Fury

Team Hogan (Captain Seth Rollins, Rusev and three others) vs. Team Flair (Captain Randy Orton, Baron Corbin and three others)

Tag Team Turmoil Match: The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods), Raw Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode, Smackdown Tag Team Champions The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder), The Viking Raiders (Erik and Ivar), Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins, Heavy Machinery (Tucker and Otis), Lucha House Party (Kalisto, Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado), The OC (AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson), and The B Team (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel).

Cesaro vs. Mansoor

There should more matches announced and more names added to Team Hogan and Team Flair over the next two weeks.
