WWE Legend Set For In-Ring Return [Spoiler]

Paul Wight The Undertaker WWE

A former WWE Champion will be back in the ring very soon.

On the October 10th episode of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho was utterly demolished by Powerhouse Hobbs. The former TNT Champion was looking to bounce back from defeat to Miro at All Out in September and did so in fine style with a resounding win over the veteran.

However, Jericho didn’t take the beating lying down.

The following week in a sit-down interview, the star said that while Hobbs is big, he knows someone even bigger. That wording sparked speculation that Jericho could be about to call on his old friend Paul Wight, known in WWE as The Big Show.

It’s now been reported by Fightful Select, that Wight is set to return to the ring at Full Gear on November 18th.

Wight hasn’t wrestled since featuring on the March 30th, 2022 episode of AEW Dark: Elevation, and has stepped in the ring just four times since joining AEW. The former WWE World Champion joined the company back in February 2021.

Speaking in March of 2023, Paul Wight revealed he was targeting a return to the ring.

Did Chris Jericho And Paul Wight Team Up In WWE?

Paul Wight and Chris Jericho came together as Jeri-Show in July 2009, after Jericho’s original partner and co-Tag Team Champion Edge suffered an injury. In storyline, Jericho claimed a loophole meant he got to choose a new partner and unveiled The Big Show at Night of Champions.

The pair teamed successfully until January 2010 when they finally broke up shortly after losing tag team gold.

Jericho and Wight briefly reunited in 2012, 2014, and again in 2016, while with WWE, but they have remained apart since signing with AEW.
