Popular Star Addresses Possible Alliance With Chelsea Green In WWE

WWE star says he would love to ally with Chelsea Green in WWE. The star in question is none other than her husband, Matt Cardona.

Chris Van Vliet recently interviewed Cardona on his Insight podcast, where he asked Cardona if he would like to be paired with Green on TV. Cardona replied that he would like that very much, stating that he had some of his “greatest” moments in his career when he worked together with his wife in the Indies.

Chris: Do you think that it could work if you and Chelsea Green were paired together in WWE?

Cardona: “I mean, I would love that. Some of my greatest times in my career were when we were on the Indies together. It was just the best, like traveling together, and it just made the matches so much easier.

Especially as me being a heel, I have this valet, and also she could wrestle, so we could do mixed tag team matches, and then she can get involved physically. It was the perfect formula.” [H/T Chris Van Vliet]

Chelsea Green Shares Matt Cardona’s Messy Travel Habits

On WWE Unreal season 3, Chelsea Green and Matt Cardona discussed their couple life, sharing how working together for the same company has affected them. Green said that even though she’s glad to have more time to spend with her husband, she hates that Matt is a messy traveler.

Before he came back to WWE, I was maybe seeing him one week. I think that’s been the hardest part of him coming back, is that we get that time—the airport, on the plane, going to work.

We have built-in time together, but I think we still have to work really hard on our relationship to make sure we have boundaries on work and play. We have to adjust.

We are totally different travelers. I like my sleep. I love a clean hotel room. I don’t need to put 17 layers of tanner on and destroy the hotel sheets and bathroom with the tanner. We have to adjust.”
