WWE Legend Ric Flair is not a wrestler who has fully accepted retirement

The Nature Boy is known for coming out of retirement multiple times after having a “last ever match”.

His most memorable and emotionally heavy last match was against Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 24. Flair would return to the ring later, however, to dissolve the retirement.

At 76, Flair still contemplates wrestling again when the idea is talked about.

WWE Legend Ricky Morton Responds To Ric Flair’s “One Last Match” Match Idea

During a virtual signing at K&S WrestleFest recently, fans in the live stream persistently asked if Flair was ready for one more match.

The Nature Boy teased the idea of having one with Rick Morton and said that it was only off the table for financial reasons.

He would, however, clarify later on social media that he would never wrestle again.

Morton has now taken to X to respond to Flair’s idea, saying:

As cool and exciting as it sounds, I’m going to have to pass on the idea of one more match vs. Ric Flair. Ric already had his last match, and it was an honor to be part of that show. Some moments don’t need a sequel. They need to be respected, remembered, and celebrated forever.

In the comments, he continued saying that if he ever were to do it, it would be on his terms and happen not in WWE, but in GCW or the NWA.

Ric Flair wrestled his last match in July 2022, teaming with Andrade El Idolo against Jeff Jarrett & Jay Lethal.

Morton is an active wrestler and wrestles many matches in a year.
