Could a sure-fire WWE Hall of Famer be on the brink of returning to the company?

Mickie James has teased a return to WWE after interacting with a current NXT star on social media.

Following WWE Raw, Fallon Henley made a pitch to James on social media, writing that they should team up to win the Women’s Tag Team Titles.

@MickieJames hear me out… what if we saddled up, you taught me to be hardcore country and we went for the Women’s Tag Titles. I’ll bring the drinks! 🍻

Interestingly, James appeared to be up for the idea, responding “I’m your Huckleberry. 🤠🤠”

The veteran is currently a free agent after leaving IMPACT Wrestling, although during her most recent spell with the company, she competed without a contract. Her husband Nick Aldis is currently signed to WWE and works as a producer, as well as SmackDown General manager.

When Did Mickie James Last Wrestle In WWE?

Mickie James made her most recent appearance in the 2022 women’s Royal Rumble match. The appearance took fans across the world by surprise as the star was the reigning IMPACT Knockouts Champion at the time, and was even wearing the belt when she made her way to the ring.

James initially signed with WWE back in 2003 and spent two years in developmental before moving to the main roster in October 2005. The star went on to feud with Trish Stratus, and remained with the company until 2010, leaving a five-time Women’s Champion.

The popular star returned to the sports entertainment giant in 2016 after a highly successful spell with IMPACT Wrestling, before being released in 2021.
