WWE Eyes Son Of Former United States Champion
WWE could be set to add a fourth-generation star to its roster in the very near future.
WWE recently added to its roster with Royce Keys debuting for the company at the Royal Rumble. Keys is the former Powerhouse Hobbs, who made his name in AEW and, up until his departure, held the AEW Trios Title as a member of The Opps.
Elsewhere in the wrestling world, there has been a great deal of upheaval in New Japan Pro Wrestling, with the company set to lose several stars, including EVIL and Hiromu Takahashi. But it seems one more could be on their way out and on their way to WWE.
WWE In Touch With Major NJPW Star
Fightful Select has reported that there has been contact between WWE and Bullet Club War Dogs leader David Finlay. No new information has come to light about any deal between the two parties, but his name has long been linked with the sports entertainment giant.
Finlay is the son of former WWE United States Champion Finlay, who currently works for the company as a producer and coach at the NXT Performance Center. David Finlay’s brother currently competes on the NXT brand as Uriah Connors.
Connors seemingly quit Chase U recently and could be joining up with Stacks Lorenzo and Lexis King. Given that the War Dogs have now collapsed, David Finlay could have a ready-made group to lead if he makes the jump to WWE.
