Update On NXT Stars That May Be Part Of WWE Draft (Spoiler)

WWE Draft

There are several WWE NXT stars that have been rumored for the upcoming WWE Draft including a former NXT Champion.

The WWE Draft is set to begin this Friday, April 28th on Smackdown from Corpus Christi, Texas. It has been announced by WWE that everybody is eligible to be drafted meaning the main roster stars along with NXT wrestlers.

It has been reported by PWInsider Elite (available via subscribers) that former NXT Champion Bron Breakker and Cora Jade are both currently scheduled to be Smackdown. The report adds that it’s not known if they will be a part of the WWE Draft or if they will be taking part in dark matches. Bron and Cora are dating in real life.

As for Jade, it has been reported in multiple places that she really impressed some in management at this past week’s Raw taping. Jade beat Lyra Valkyria on this week’s NXT show while Bron Breakker easily beat Andre Chase as well.

According to Fightful Select, former NXT UK Champion Ilja Dragunov was pitched to join the main roster for the draft. Dragunov is feuding with Dijak in NXT now.

Tyler Bate is another that has been pitched for the main roster call up during the WWE Draft as well.

Cameron Grimes is well known as somebody that is likely going to be drafted because WWE has been planning it for months with Grimes working a Smackdown taping back in February.

Former NXT Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson & Elton Prince) were “whacked” by Tony D’Angelo & Elton Prince this past week on NXT TV. That’s because Pretty Deadly are expected to be drafted to Raw or Smackdown during the WWE Draft.

During our WWE Draft rumors post last week citing WRKD Wrestling On Twitter, the names of Dragunov, Grimes & Pretty Deadly were mentioned along with Zoey Stark as well. That same Twitter account also mentioned Cora Jade while adding Joe Gacy to the list of rumored names as well.

When it comes to things like WWE Draft rumors, it’s important to remember that nothing is official until WWE announces it and things can certainly change.
