WWE Couple Are “Going To Have Babies This Year”

One-half of a WWE married couple recently shared their parental plans.

Rusev and CJ Perry have been married since 2016. The pair has appeared together in the Stamford promotion as well as All Elite Wrestling.

While they decided to part ways in 2023, they reconciled in 2025.

Rusev is a former 3-time United States Champion. During his time in the company, he picked up high-profile feuds against the likes of John Cena and Bobby Lashley.

He was also part of a 4-man stable called The League of Nations, which he admitted was only formed to present Roman Reigns, who at the time was being heavily booed by the audiences, as a babyface.

The 40-year-old also represented AEW between 2020 and 2025, winning the TNT Championship once. He returned to WWE in April 2025.

CJ Perry, for the most part, performed as a manager under the name Lana. She later began competing, but never achieved much success.

WWE’s Rusev Shares Parenthood Plans

Rusev recently sat down with Chris Van Vliet on his Insight podcast, where he discussed his beginnings as a wrestler, his stints in WWE and AEW, as well as his personal life with CJ Perry.

While speaking about his wife, he revealed that the couple was aiming to become parents in 2026, with Perry undergoing IVF.

And if you haven’t seen it, we’re going to have babies this year. Well, we’re doing the IVF thing. Yeah, we’re doing that. And that poor lady, man. You know, she’s got to shoot herself with a whole bunch of stuff, like, all the time. And she’s like, ‘Look, look.’ And I’m like, ‘I don’t want to see that.’ Like, shoot yourself in the corner, brother.

Rusev also shared what he wants to name his children.

I told her one of my kids is going to be named Hawk. The other one is going to be Bear (…) Hawk is the girl, Bear is the boy.
