Cody Rhodes wants to be buried in a special way after he dies.

Rhodes is only 40 years old, and it will be a long while before he is dead, but the WWE champion has already thought about how he would like his family to plan his funeral.

Cody Rhodes Wants To Be Buried In His American Nightmare Attire

While speaking on Grave Conversations, Cody Rhodes revealed that he wants to have a proper WWE gimmick-style funeral. Rhodes stated that the wrestling world has allowed him to be a superhero, and he loves this identity.

Therefore, when he dies, he would like to go out as a superhero and be buried in his full American Nightmare attire.

“I don’t know if you ever read this graphic novel, I consider it my favorite DC graphic novel of all time, a book called Identity Crisis. Identity Crisis has one of the greatest funeral scenes of all time, because all of them showed up in gimmick. Full gear. When my time comes, I want the wrestling world in full gimmick.”

“Bury me in the American Nightmare Sandra Grey robe, bury me as I was. I spent so much time giving back to pro wrestling and taking from pro wrestling that I got to play a superhero, and I’d like to go out a superhero.”

Cody Rhodes is the current Undisputed WWE Champion in his third reign. According to WWE’s official website, he has crossed the 100-day milestone as champion. His first title reign lasted 378 days, while his second title run lasted 159 days.

Rhodes recently defended his championship against Gunther at Clash in Italy on May 31. He is set to have a rematch with the Ring General on this week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown with the special guest referee, Sami Zayn.
