WWE Clash At The Castle Title Match Possibly Spoiled By New Match Announcement

WWE Clash at the Castle Drew McIntyre

The winner of a huge title match at WWE Clash at the Castle might have accidentally been revealed early.

At WrestleMania 40, Drew McIntyre defeated Seth Rollins to win the World Heavyweight Championship, however, things quickly turned sour for the Scottish Warrior. While celebrating his victory, McIntyre took some time to taunt CM Punk, who had provided commentary for the title bout. Punk finally snapped and knocked McIntyre over on the announce table before attacking him with his arm brace.

This provided just the opportunity Damian Priest had been waiting for, and the Judgment Day star ran to the ring to cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase. He took McIntyre down with a South of Heaven Chokeslam and claimed the title the Scotsman had won only minutes earlier.

At WWE King & Queen of the Ring, though, Triple H announced that Drew McIntyre would get his rematch against Damian Priest when WWE hits Scotland for Clash at the Castle on June 15th.

The outcome of that match might already be known though, as Madison Square Garden has announced a World Heavyweight Championship match for WWE’s show there on June 28th. The announcement could be bad news for McIntyre, as it the match in question will see Damian Priest going into the bout as champion to defend against Jey Uso. Of course, it should be noted that every card is subject to change.

“JUST ANNOUNCED! From Monday Night RAW see Damian Priest vs. Jey Uso live in a World Heavyweight Championship Match at Friday Night SmackDown on Fri, Jun 28 at The Garden!”

WWE Teases Bayley’s Opponent For Clash At The Castle

Following a successful defence against Naoim and Tiffany Stratton at Backlash, WWE has hinted at Bayley’s likely challenger for Clash at the Castle. On the latest edition of SmackDown, the Role Model was able to get a win over Chelsea Green.

After the match, Green’s partner, Piper Niven, launched a vicious assault on the star and left her lying. Later in the night, the Scottish star warned Bayley that if she thought that was bad “wait until we clash again.”
