Recently-Crowned WWE Champion Announces Injury
A recently crowned champion in WWE revealed that they were dealing with an injury.
On the February 7 taping of AAA on FOX, Lola Vice became the new AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champion with Mr. Iguana.
Chelsea Green and Ethan Page were scheduled to defend the titles in Mexico, but Green was a no-show.
In a backstage segment, Green was seen on a video call with Page, where she showed an orthopedic walking boot on her injured leg. She had apparently sustained the injury during her 3-way Elimination Chamber qualifying match on SmackDown against Lash Legend and Tiffany Stratton.
As a result, she was replaced by La Hiedra.
La Hiedra and Ethan Page lost the title, crowning NXT star Lola Vice and AAA’s Mr’ Iguana the new tag champions.
WWE’s Lola Vice Announces Injury
The second half of 2025 saw Lola Vice step up in WWE’s developmental brand, NXT.
She gained momentum, even earning an NXT Women’s Championship match against Jacy Jayne at No Mercy in September.
Despite putting on a great show in front of her home crowd of Florida, she was unable to win the title after being attacked by a masked individual, later revealed to be Lainey Reid, who eventually joined Jayne’s Fatal Influence.
Lola Vice’s AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship is her first title win in WWE. After the match, she took to X and responded to Chelsea Green’s injury post, revealing that she was also dealing with an injury, but turned up anyway.
