Major Title Changes Hands After Top WWE Star’s Injury

Top WWE star Chelsea Green suffered an unfortunate setback after picking up an injury on the February 6 edition of WWE SmackDown.

Green competed in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match against Tiffany Stratton and Lash Legend, and although she pushed through the bout, she was clearly not at 100 percent coming out of it. The injury ultimately forced her to miss her scheduled AAA appearance the very next night.

Green was set to defend the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship alongside Ethan Page on the February 7 episode of AAA on FOX against Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana. However, before the match, Page FaceTimed Green, who revealed she was unable to travel and showed herself wearing an orthopedic walking boot.

With Green ruled out, La Hiedra stepped in as Page’s replacement partner. Despite their efforts, Page and La Hiedra were unable to retain the titles and lost to Vice and Iguana, who became the new AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champions.

Meanwhile, Dominik Mysterio found himself in the spotlight on the same AAA show. After El Hijo del Vikingo earned a shot at Dominik’s AAA Mega Championship, Vikingo upped the stakes during a heated segment by challenging Mysterio to put his hair on the line as well.

Vikingo made it clear that Dominik didn’t need to answer right away and asked him to respond during their contract signing on the February 21 episode of AAA on FOX.
