WWE CCO Triple H Called Out: “That’s A Bold-Faced Lie”
WWE Unreal gave fans an insight into how Triple H and Co. made decisions about WWE superstars and creative angles.
The show’s second season focused on all the big happenings of 2025, such as John Cena’s Farewell Tour, Becky Lynch’s WWE return, Seth Rollins’ fake injury angle, and others.
One of the plots was R-Truth’s release and return to WWE TV.
Triple H called out over the inconsistency in R-Truth’s release story
Back in June 2025, the WWE Universe was shocked by the news of R-Truth’s release from WWE. The global juggernaut did not renew his contract after 17 years. Fans and other superstars were shocked by the news. The WWE Universe revolted and demanded that the company bring back Truth.
In just six days, Truth had returned to WWE as Ron Killings. At that time, Triple H claimed that his release and return were a part of the show. WWE Unreal revealed a different story.
In the Netflix original show, Triple H revealed that Truth was told his contract would not be renewed due to business decisions, but he was never formally released and was always a part of the roster. It seems that it wasn’t a part of the show.
On The Coach and Bro, Jonathan Coachman pointed this out, claiming that The Game was caught in a lie.
It’s almost like you said they forget that one hand’s talking to the other. The other problem is that they sit down and do these interviews months later. Months later. And it was clear that they forgot. So, for him to say the week that it happened, it was all a part of the show. And then to say Unreal, well, uh, we called him and said we were released. That’s a bold-faced lie. Meaning back then, right? So, then you’re absolutely right.
Ron Killings continues to be employed with WWE at the moment, but this contract is likely is last one with the Stamford-based promotion.
