Expect some WWE SummerSlam surprises.

Despite the card for the upcoming PLE to be completed, it is being reported that additional names will be in Detroit for the Premium Live Event.

As reported by Fightful Select, the Superstars that are due to be in The Motor City and not scheduled to compete are Liv Morgan, Zoey Stark, Baron Corbin, Titus O’Neil and Maxxine Dupri. All of the names listed are set to be in Detroit from Thursday, taking part in media interviews on August 3rd and 4th. The report also states that Be A Star and Jimmy V Foundation events are also due to take place prior to the PLE.

In regards to further involvement over The Biggest Party of the Summer, Morgan will likely not be seen in the ring, as the former Women’s Champion is currently out with injury. With Alpha Academy members Otis and Chad Gable announced for the SummerSlam Battle Royale, it is likely that Dupri will play an accompanying role in the match sponsored by Slim Jim. Fightful also speculates that Baron Corbin could be a surprise entrant in this, despite currently being a part of NXT.

The report also states that Titus O’Neil has been present at a lot of TV tapings recently, and may have an additional role during the event. This could potentially be a guest commentary role, which was seen at WrestleMania 39, where the Hall of Famer provided guest announcing for the Intercontental Championship Triple Threat match between champion Gunther and challengers Sheamus and Drew McIntyre.

Along with the above list of active Superstars, one Hall of Famer has also been reported to make an appearance at Ford Field.

When Is WWE SummerSlam?

SummerSlam will air live on Saturday, August 5th at Ford Field in Detroit. This will be the 36th iteration of the event presented by the company. The main event is set to be Roman Reigns facing Jey Uso, with both the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship and the right to be called Tribal Chief at stake.
