Surprising WWE Hall Of Famer To Feature At SummerSlam

There will be a WWE Hall of Famer that fans might not expect to be featured at SummerSlam.

There will be plenty of future hall of famers on the SummerSlam card with the likes of Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, Charlotte Flair, and Seth Rollins all set to compete. However, one hall of famer will be part of the cold open of the show that is not synonymous with the ring.

According to WrestleVotes, Kid Rock will be featured in the SummerSlam opening with the biggest party of the summer taking place in the controversial star’s hometown of Detroit, Michigan:

“This years SummerSlam cold open will feature everyone’s favorite rockstar, WWE Hall of Famer, Kid Rock.”

Kid Rock has performed on shows for the company in years gone by but it is not known whether or not he will be part of a musical interlude in the show itself.

He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame’s celebrity wing in 2018 although his political comments during his induction speech are believed to have nixed The Undertaker appearing as his American Badass persona at WrestleMania that year as during that part of his career he came to the ring to Kid Rock’s American Bad Ass song.

The confirmed card for WWE SummerSlam so far is –

  • Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jey Uso – Tribal Combat for WWE Universal Championship
  • Seth Rollins (c) vs. Finn Balor – World Heavyweight Championship
  • Asuka (c) vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Bianca Belair – WWE Women’s Championship
  • Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar
  • GUNTHER (c) vs. Drew McIntyre – Intercontinental Championship
  • Ronda Rousey vs. Shayna Baszler – MMA Rules
  • Ricochet vs. Logan Paul
  • SummerSlam Battle Royal
