WWE Bringing Back Released Star; Major Plans Revealed

A released WWE star is returning to the promotion. Now, a major update has emerged.

The sports entertainment juggernaut’s roster has undergone big changes due to the cuts following WrestleMania 42. It looks like WWE is now looking to bolster its ranks once again.

WWE’s possible plans for a former champion

There have been rampant rumors about Enzo Amore’s return to his former stomping grounds in the last few weeks. He was released from WWE in 2018 following real-life controversy.

Reports have stated Amore was spotted at the Performance Center, before the May 19 taping of NXT. On the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer stated that Enzo Amore will be joining the NXT brand upon his WWE comeback.

However, the same cannot be said for Amore’s former partner, Big Bill, at least as of now. For those unaware, reports recently revealed Bill’s All Elite Wrestling contract is set to expire at the end of May or at the start of June. This naturally led to speculation about Enzo Amore and Big Bill reuniting in WWE.

According to Meltzer, there has been no significant talk backstage in WWE about Big Bill’s return despite a lot of chatter elsewhere.

The current plan has Enzo Amore to be in NXT soon. Nothing on Big Bill, the former Big Cass, is official or even talked about heavily in the company, but outside the company, there is a lot of talk.

It’s a Jericho situation where you go with the idea he’s off television for a long time with a contract coming due so he’s possibly leaving. In most cases that’s correct, but Jericho also showed you can’t say 100 percent. And Hobbs showed even if they are being kept on television and are holding a title and having big matches, you can’t say they are 100 percent staying either.

Enzo Amore and Big Bill had a pretty successful run in WWE in the 2010s. Could they reunite once again? Only time will tell.
