A statement has been made about Hulk Hogan’s death.

The legendary 2-time WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan (real name Terry Bollea) passed away on July 24, 2025, at the age of 71.

Hogan had undergone several major surgeries over the years, and it is believed that one of the operations had a major impact on his declining health.

Following his death, there were questions about what went wrong and if his death could have been prevented, which led to an investigation into The Hulkster’s passing.

Rob Shaw, a spokesperson for the Clearwater Police Department in Florida, said in a statement to The California Post that Hogan had a natural death.

“We want to thank the family of Mr. Bollea — Sky, Nick and Brooke — and their attorney, Kevin Hayslett, for their cooperation.”

Shaw would go on to reveal that Hogan’s family gave the investigators personal information that helped the investigation.

“Their willingness to allow our investigators access to very personal information, at a time when they were grieving and struggling, was extremely helpful.”

“We would not have had the legal justification to obtain much of the information without their cooperation.”

According to the New York Post, investigators noted in the document about Hogan’s death that several people close to Hogan claimed he was in “rough shape following multiple recent surgeries.”

On the day of his death, Hulk Hogan was with his wife, Sky, and two healthcare workers. When they noticed Hogan wasn’t breathing while on his recliner at home, they called 911, and a medical professional performed CPR. Hogan was transferred to a local hospital and was pronounced dead.

Hulk Hogan’s Daughter Brooke Was Left Out Of His Will

While Hulk Hogan left an incredible legacy in pro wrestling, he also had a controversial life and major issues with his own family as well.

Brooke Hogan is Hulk Hogan’s daughter, who starred in the “Hogan Knows Best” reality show with The Hulkster, her mother Linda (Hulk’s ex-wife), and her brother Nick Hogan.

In addition to her reality TV career, Brooke also worked in pro wrestling when Hulk was helping run TNA in the early 2010s, and she was part of a storyline in which she ran the Knockouts Division while also getting married to Bully Ray, who ended up turning heel and using her.

Following Hogan’s death, Brooke revealed that she had asked to be taken out of her father’s will.

“Money didn’t matter. I was like, ‘Take me off everything.’ And I was sobbing, I was sobbing when I wrote the text to Terry McCoy — the guy that manages his money — I was sobbing and I just said, ‘Take me off everything, I just — I don’t want to be a part of it.’ Because I knew, in my mind, this is how the math was going to work out.

If Sky is a Scientologist, which apparently she’s still in good standing, but she says she left. It’s not for me to judge. She was always nice to me. I have no problem with Sky. But if she was a Scientologist, I know that that’s a very powerful backing.

And then I thought, oh my God, if I get left any money or [her brother] Nick gets left any money, no offense, but my mom has been known to kind of find herself in the mix with things like that. And I’m like, I don’t want to fight Linda. I don’t want to fight Scientology. I don’t want somebody that I love to get knocked off. I don’t know how deep this stuff goes. It scared me. And I just said, ‘I want out.’”

In another interview, Brooke noted that she was financially healthy. even without her father’s money.

“His decision is no surprise to me. It’s what I asked for, I stand by it with no regrets. My dad knows I’m a hard worker, and I have been surviving without his money for a long, long time.”

A new documentary about Hulk Hogan is now available on Netflix.
