Royce Keys became the latest wrestler to jump ship from AEW to WWE after he made his debut at the Royal Rumble earlier this year. The former Powerhouse Hobbs surprised everyone as he entered at number 14 in the Rumble.

He was reportedly signed to be a member of the SmackDown roster following the Royal Rumble, but didn’t make another appearance for a couple of months on any of the brands.

Since making his debut on the blue brand in April, Keys has been featured regularly on TV. It seemed like Triple H had huge plans for him, as he even won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Royce Keys is being targeted by MFT on WWE SmackDown

However, it seems like WWE’s Chief Content Officer has had a change of heart regarding Royce Keys, as he suffered his third successive loss on SmackDown. He lost to Gunther in a number one contender’s match a few weeks back.

Last week, he teamed with Damian Priest on R-Truth’s insistence, but they lost to MFT as well. Tonight, Royce Keys faced Talla Tonga in singles action and looked to be headed to a win before Solo Sikoa interfered in the match.

After a distraction from Solo, Talla took advantage of the situation and beat Keys to hand him his third successive loss. He was attacked by the MFTs following the match before Truth came to his aid.

They were still outnumbered, and the MFTs were dominating an already injured Truth before Damian Priest pulled him away from the chaos, leaving Keys alone to deal with Solo and his group.
