Seth Rollins Admits He Hates Ex-WWE Champion: “We Don’t See Eye To Eye”
Seth Rollins explained why he doesn’t like a former WWE World Champion. The star in conversation is none other than CM Punk.
Seth Rollins and CM Punk have a long and storied history with each other, as Seth made his WWE debut in 2012 alongside The Shield to help Punk. The Second City Saint made his long-awaited return to the Stamford-based promotion in 2023 and had an intense feud with Rollins in 2025 for months as well.
Aside from their onscreen rivalry, many fans have wondered whether CM Punk and Seth Rollins actually don’t like each other in real life. Meanwhile, Seth seems to have confirmed the speculation.
Seth Rollins on him and CM Punk not getting along in real life
Speaking with Prince St. Pizza, Seth Rollins outright admitted that he doesn’t like CM Punk despite a lot of people loving him. Seth also opened up on his long history with Punk and holding a grudge with him:
I don’t like him, a lot of people love him, lot of people love him. He and I don’t get along, we don’t see eye to eye, it’s a long history there. I’m not a grudge holder really, I wouldn’t consider myself, he is an exception to the rule. [Is he a phony?] I would say so, I would say so. he’s an interesting cat because if you love him… a lot of fans have seen CM Punk out there, you believe and hang on every single word that he says, right? But if you know the guy like I do, I see through all of it,” Seth stated.
Rollins also gave credit to CM Punk for his longevity in the pro wrestling business while admitting their bad blood and how it is difficult to repair their relationship:
And he would probably say the same thing about me. Credit to him, I mean he’s…I’ll give him his due in the sense that he’s been a relevant figure in our industry for over 20 years, a long long time. I mean he’s a guy that I looked up to when I was trying to get in the business and you know they say, ‘never meet your heroes,’ he’s a prime example of that. So yeah, I mean there’s certainly some bad blood there. I think it would be um…it would be a tough relationship to repair.” [from 15:10 onwards]
