Liv Morgan’s Interference Determines Oba Femi’s Next Opponent On WWE SmackDown

A blockbuster King of the Ring first-round match was scheduled to be the main event of WWE SmackDown tonight. With the finals set to take place at Night of Champions later this month, the tournament has been in full flow since the matches were announced.

The tournament began this past Monday Night on RAW when Oba Femi destroyed all other opponents in the match to advance to the semi-finals of the tournament. Four current champions competed in the main event tonight to join Oba in the next round of the KOTR.

The United States Champion, Trick Williams, took on the AAA Mega Champion, Dominik Mysterio, and one-half of both the World and WWE tag team champions, Damian Priest and Bron Breakker.

It was an incredibly tense and hard-hitting match between these four champions and nothing seemed to separate any of them. All four competitors had their moments in the match and they all hit their signature moves on one another.

Breakker looked to take the win after hitting a Torpedo Spear to Priest before Williams hit Breakker with a Trick Shot. He then went to steal the win by pinning Priest, but Dominik pulled the referee out of the ring.

Chaos erupted in the ring from this point onward as Breakker took himself and Trick out of the equation by hitting a huge clothesline onto the WWE announce table. This left Priest and Mysterio alone in the ring and Damian seemed destined for the win.

He was about to hit Dom with the South of Heaven chokeslam, but was interrupted by JD McDonagh, who ate the Chokeslam instead. Priest went for another one on Dom, but Liv Morgan hit him with a low blow.

Dominik then capitalized on the situation and hit a 619 to Damian to pick up the win to advance to the next round and set up a clash with The Ruler, Oba Femi.
