WWE Adds 2 Pre-Show Matches To Royal Rumble Card
WWE has reportedly added two pre-show matches to its Royal Rumble card.
Apart from these bouts, the card currently has four matches, including the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble.
Multiple superstars have confirmed their participation in the 30-person match, with several surprises expected during the live event.
Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, who have not appeared on any WWE show since Survivor Series: WarGames in November, will be in the men’s Rumble match.
There is still a mystery surrounding Chris Jericho, who has been a free agent since January 1st, despite being listed as an active talent on the AEW website.
Elsewhere, John Cena, who retired from wrestling in December last year, confirmed that he will be watching the show from his home.
AJ Styles will challenge “Career Killer” Gunther in a singles match, where his career is on the line. If Styles loses, he must retire.
Sami Zayn won a four-way match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 24, earning the right to challenge Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
WWE Adds Pre-Show Matches To Royal Rumble
There is a 2-hour pre-show scheduled ahead of the live Royal Rumble event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
According to a report by PWInside Elite, WWE has added multiple pre-show matches, although it is currently unknown whether they will be shown as part of the pre-show countdown or just before the show gets underway. It may be available solely for the live audience, too.
One of the matches will feature Grayson Waller and The New Day taking on Shinsuke Nakamura and The Motor City Machine Guns. Also, The Wyatt Sicks will continue their rivalry against The MFTs in another bout.
In the recent past, the promotion has rarely aired pre-show matches ahead of the scheduled live matches.
