Was WWE CCO Triple H Safe In The Ring?
Triple H was majorly a heel during his over two decades of wrestling career.
He stepped away from in-ring competition in the early 2010s to focus on backstage roles, putting on his wrestling gear only when absolutely necessary.
He was involved in many top-tier feuds, usually against the likes of The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and The Undertaker.
Sports entertainment does not always guarantee safety, as Triple H also fell victim to a lengthy quad injury in 2001 that kept him out of action for eight months. He then suffered a similar injury in 2007.
An ex-WWE star and The Game’s peer recently confirmed whether or not the Stamford promotion’s Chief Content Officer was a safe in-ring worker during his wrestling tenure.
Stevie Richards discussed Bret “The Hitman” Hart’s recent diatribe against the 56-year-old during his The Stevie Richards Show podcast.
Let’s not mix it up, as far as personality, as far as the way Triple H is as a person, as a worker, as a shark in the locker room. He’s still one of the safest and best workers out there that you wanna work with…whatever personal differences, I trust that guy in the ring. [3:08 onwards]
What Did Bret Hart Say About Triple H?
Bret Hart does not like Triple H.
This has been established by the numerous thrashings that The Game has received over the years from the Canadian wrestling legend.
Their issues stem from the infamous Montreal Screwjob in 1997, in which Triple H seemingly played a significant part.
It is also interesting that despite being in WWE at the same time in the 1990s, the two never had a televised match together.
During an appearance on Inside the Ropes, ‘The Hitman’ revealed that he did not wrestle the WWE CCO because he did not rate him highly.
He also admitted to not knowing his current standing with his former peer.
I tried to move on. I always compare to carrying around a big bag of rocks. If you can just drop that big bag of rocks it’d be a lot better for your mental and emotional state. At the same time, you have to follow your heart. I’m not sure where I stand with Triple H.
The WWE Chief Content Officer has distanced himself from commenting about the recent jabs from his Canadian counterpart.
