UFC Legend Disrespects WWE World Champion Roman Reigns
The WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns, has drawn the ire of a UFC legend.
The UFC 250 Freedom event took place on Sunday, June 14th, at the White House in Washington, DC, in honor of America’s upcoming 250th birthday on July 4th.
With United States President Donald Trump in attendance on his 80th birthday, it was the first time the UFC held a show at the White House, where an Octagon cage was erected on the lawn, and seats were set up for fans. The event aired on Paramount+ in the US.
The WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns, was among the attendees. Since UFC is owned by TKO Group, which also owns WWE, there was an obvious tie-in with WWE.
On social media, TKO Group posted a photo of Reigns at the UFC with the caption: “The OTC at the White House!” The OTC means the Original Tribal Chief, which is what Reigns is called in WWE.
In a quote tweet response to that, former 3-time UFC Champion and legendary fighter Conor McGregor simply wrote: “Who?”

It’s likely that McGregor knows who Reigns did and posted that tweet to get attention because that’s what fighters and entertainers do.
Paul Walter Hauser is an actor who has wrestled and supports wrestling outside of WWE. He reacted to Roman Reigns’ photo and “We The Ones” emoji with this, while supporting AEW wrestlers.
Is this where you are when you’re never wrestling? Why do guys like Darby Allin and Kenny Omega wrestle every single week, and yet, they don’t ask us to “acknowledge them”?
Could it be that the work begets the acknowledgement? Enjoy the field trip, you actual dork.
Those comments seem harsh since WWE and Roman Reigns didn’t have a show on Sunday night, but Reigns being in Washington is close to where Raw will be on June 15th, with Reigns set to appear.
Also, many fans have pointed out that Kenny Omega doesn’t wrestle every week or close to it, but he has had more matches than Reigns this year.
Roman Reigns Is The Dream Opponent Of Trick Williams
It’s not yet known who Roman Reigns will wrestle in his next match, which could be at SummerSlam on August 1 or August 2. Reigns isn’t expected to have a match at Night of Champions on June 28th.
The WWE United States Champion Trick Williams recently mentioned Roman Reigns as one of his dream opponents.
“The Tribal Chief, the real one, Roman Reigns. I believe he’s the most overall complete superstar in the game today. That’s where I want to be, I want to be the best in the game, so I need to go against the best. That’s the match that I want.”
