Roman Reigns put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Jacob Fatu in a Tribal Combat match at Clash in Italy on May 30. The Tribal Chief successfully retained his title and his status as the Head of the Table.

Reigns headed backstage following his win over Jacob Fatu. While doing so, he spoke to the camera and took a jab at his old rival and the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, who defeated Gunther earlier in the night.

Now they know who the Head of the Table is. Who the captain of the ship is. QB1, f*ck that noise. It’s the Tribal Chief,” said Reigns, mocking Cody who calls himself “QB1.”

The American Nightmare did not let the insult slide and clapped back at Reigns during the post-show segment.

Roman doesn’t have two wins over me. I don’t have two wins over him. He beat me once, and I beat his ass once. So, I don’t know… add him to the list. Easy to find, hard to get. And that goes for Roman Reigns as well.

The drama didn’t end there. The two stars then met backstage.

Roman Reigns And Cody Rhodes Come Face To Face At Clash in Italy Backstage

WWE shared a video on its official Twitter handle that shows Cody Rhodes walking backstage and bumping into Roman Reigns. The two men locked eyes but didn’t say anything to each other. No words were spoken, and no comments were made, but the tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife.

Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns had one of the most interesting storylines in WWE history a few years ago, with Rhodes chasing the Undisputed WWE Championship that was in Reigns’ possession.

They faced each other twice at WrestleMania 39 and WrestleMania 40. At WrestleMania 39, Reigns defeated Cody Rhodes to retain the championship, while Rhodes finally won the title and completed his American Dream at WrestleMania 40 by defeating Roman Reigns.
