Two AEW Stars Missing Through Injury

Two AEW stars are being kept out of the ring through injury.

2023 was the biggest year of Julia Hart’s career, as the House of Black star captured championship gold for the first time.

After putting together a string of impressive results in the second half of the year, Hart challenged Kris Statlander for the TBS Title WrestleDream. Although she came up short on that occasion, the young star got the better of Statlander and Skye Blue at Full Gear a month later.

Hart has been out of action since retaining her title with a win over Anna Jay at Battle of the Belts in January, despite continuing to appear on television. It’s now been reported by Fightful Select that some creative ideas have been put on ice until she’s cleared, but there’s no word on the exact nature of the injury.

Meanwhile, the report confirms that Wheeler Yuta is also dealing with an injury that has kept him off television. Yuta is advertised for a CMLL event on March 29th alongside the rest of the Blackpool Combat Club.

Jeff Hardy Injured At AEW Rampage Taping

The report also gave an update on Jeff Hardy after the star suffered an injury during the February 16th Rampage taping.

On the show, Hardy was on the receiving end of a Shooting Star Press from Sammy Guevara that went wrong. As Guevara landed his knee connected with Hardy’s face and initial reports suggested he’d been “knocked silly.”

According to Fightful, there were fears that Hardy had suffered a broken nose and he’d be undergoing concussion tests.
