One AEW star could be counting the cost of an injury after a move went wrong in the ring.

The 16th of February edition of Rampage will see Jeff Hardy go one-on-one with Sammy Guevara but that match, as well as the rest of Rampage, was taped after Dynamite went off the air in Cedar Park, Texas.

Video footage from the match has surfaced online and shows Guevara attempting a shooting star press on Hardy but The Spanish God’s knee connected with Hardy’s head in a scary moment.

Jeff Hardy Hit With Nasty Knee In Scary AEW Moment

Nothing has been made official in terms of Hardy’s condition but speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio Dave Meltzer noted that it looked very much like the star had been knocked silly:

It was pretty nasty. I haven’t heard the severity of the injury but it looked bad. You’ve seen them before, his knee just hit him right in the temple it looked like. He was knocked pretty silly but we don’t know. It may not be that severe but we’re not sure.

AEW Dynamite saw the final match in Sting’s career confirmed as he takes to the ring one last time at Revolution in Greensboro, North Carolina.
