Triple H Will Miss WWE Raw Due To COVID-19

Triple H on WWE Raw

There will be an important person missing WWE Raw on October 17th because Triple H is dealing with the COVID-19 virus.

It has been reported by PWInsider’s Mike Johnson that WWE’s Chief Content Offer Paul “Triple H” Levesque will miss the October 17th episode of Monday Night Raw from Oklahoma City.

The report from PWInsider notes that Triple H is feeling well and in good spirits. However, he will be away from his in-person duties as the head of WWE’s creative team until he has cleared the company’s current protocol. Johnson added that the hope is that Triple H will be back in WWE in a backstage role as soon as he tests negative.

In an update on the situation, PWInsider has also reported that WWE Senior Vice President of Live Events Brian “Road Dogg” James is the point person in charge of tonight’s Raw. Road Dogg was backstage working under Triple H at last week’s Smackdown.

The year 2022 has been a year of change for WWE and also Triple H in particular. In March 2022, Triple H retired as an active in-ring competitor due to the heart surgery that he had in September 2021.

After Vince McMahon retired from WWE and John Laurinaitis was removed as Head of Talent Relations on July 22, Triple H was named the new Head of Talent Relations. It was days later when Triple H was also named the Head of Creative meaning he got the final say on storylines that aired on WWE Raw, Smackdown and Premium Live Events.

On September 6th, Triple H was named WWE’s Chief Content Officer, which is a title that summarizes his multiple roles in WWE. In many ways, Triple H is running WWE along with his wife, Co-CEO Stephanie McMahon (she is also the WWE Chairwoman) and Co-CEO Nick Khan.

Triple H was on both of WWE’s main two TV shows last week. On the October 10th edition of Raw, he was on in the main event to celebrate 25 years of D-Generation X. Triple H was also on the October 14th episode of Smackdown in a backstage segment where talked Rey Mysterio out of quitting WWE.

Everybody here at TJRWrestling wishes Triple H all the best as he recovers from the COVID-19 virus. The world has progressed a lot in the last two years thanks to vaccines, so hopefully he remains in good health.
