Triple H Allegedly Demoting Ex-Champion After WWE SummerSlam For Major Reason

Triple H WWE Raw press conference

A former WWE champion’s career may suffer a massive blow.

Lyra Valkyria joined the main roster in 2024 after spending nearly four years in NXT. She has since received a significant push, becoming the inaugural Women’s Intercontinental Champion and winning the Women’s Tag Team Titles alongside Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 41.

Over the past few months, the 28-year-old has been involved in a storyline with Bayley and Lynch, who betrayed her on RAW after WrestleMania.

Last Sunday, Valkyria went head-to-head against The Man in an Intercontinental Championship No Disqualification, No Count Out match at SummerSlam. The stipulation stated that if the former champion lost, she would not be allowed to challenge for the title again as long as Lynch held it.

The match ended in Lynch’s victory after interference from Bayley. The Role Model accidentally knocked out Valkyria, allowing The Man to pin her down for the three count.

Ex-WWE Star Did Not Enjoy Lyra Valkyria’s Performance

Former Interim RAW General Manager Jonathan Coachman has been critical of Lyra Valkyria for a few months. Speaking on The Last Word podcast, the wrestling veteran disclosed that he was not impressed by her performance at The Biggest Party of the Summer.

Meanwhile, The Coach predicted that the former Women’s Intercontinental Champion would get demoted by WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H because she was not on the level to work a top storyline.

So, I’ve been very critical and last night was more of the same that Lyra simply is not on the level to be in a major league storyline. It would not surprise me, and I never want to see anybody get demoted. Let me be very clear. This is my opinion. We are not gonna see Lyra in a main storyline for many, many, many months.
