Tony Khan enjoys making big announcements as well as talent signings, which he announced following a match on AEW Rampage.

On the February 16th edition of AEW Rampage that was taped after Dynamite, one of the matches on the show featured Queen Aminata in action against Anna Jay.

It was an even matchup that ended when Aminta headbutted Jay in the ribs leading to the pinfall win. That was the first match that Aminata has won in her AEW career.

After the match on Rampage, AEW Owner/President/General Manager Tony Khan announced that Queen Aminata has signed with All Elite Wrestling.

Congratulations to Queen Aminata! She just won her first ever @AEWonTV match tonight, and now it’s official: Queen @amisylle is ALL ELITE! Thank you to all of you watching Friday Night #AEWRampage, right NOW on @TNTdrama!

There was a previous report from Fightful Select in early January that AEW had signed Aminata, but they waited until her first win to announce it.

Before that win on Rampage, Aminata had 18 consecutive losses in her AEW career. Aminata started wrestling for AEW in 2021 and over the next three years until the company finally decided to sign her to a contract.

Tony Khan Has Signed Other Big Names To AEW Roster

Some big names are coming to AEW in 2024 since Tony Khan has been able to sign the likes of Mercedes Mone (formerly Sasha Banks in WWE) and New Japan legend Kazuchika Okada. Neither wrestler has debuted officially, but Mone’s set to debut in Merch and Okada may debut around that time.

Meanwhile, Will Ospreay will have his first official match under AEW contract at the Revolution PPV on March 3rd when he faces Konosuke Takeshita in singles action.
