Toni Storm is currently on a hiatus from AEW.

Storm defeated Marina Shafir at AEW Revolution in Los Angeles, California. She was scheduled for a No Holds Barred match against Shafir for the March 18 episode of Dynamite.

However, before the match, she was attacked by a mystery assailant backstage and was found bloodied in a locker room. According to reports, the attack angle was done to give her some time off TV.

Toni Storm Was Supposed To Start A Title Program With AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla

According to a new report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer stated that Toni Storm is expected to be out of action until 2027, and the cause of her hiatus remains unknown.

Meltzer added that AEW had been planning for her to potentially start a title program with AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla after her storyline with Marina Shafir. Meltzer also confirmed that Storm’s absence is not related to any injury.

“Toni Storm has been reported as being out of action until 2027. There are a number of stories floating around but it is obviously something that they want to keep under wraps. It is not an injury situation and it came up on 3/18 the day of the show as all plans until the afternoon were for Storm to beat Marina Shafir to lead to the start of a Thekla vs.”

“Toni Storm program for the title. When they found out she could not wrestle, they laid out the injury angle and will be doing a tease akin to Who Shot JR? with clues and such and multiple potential assailants.”

“Storm did an injury angle on television and did an autograph signing over the weekend not selling any injury at all.”
